PARK CITY UTAH: At the Sundance Film Festival, Kim Howitt (an executive at the N) catches Ben and Debby's feature, "High School Record." Kim likes what she sees and offers them the opportunity to develop a new series for the network.
NEW YORK, NY: Ben and Debby make the pitch for "Gigantic." The N signs on.
SANTA MONICA, CA: Work on the pilot script begins. Inspired by hours of interviews with real children of celebrities, Ben and Debby begin to hammer out the characters and their storylines.
NEW YROK, NY: Script approval. The N makes the unprecedented decision to give Ben and Debby a lump sum to shoot a pilot, leaving everything in their hands, from casting to location scouting to costumes.
LOS ANGELES, CA: Ben and Debby begin the casting process themselves, renting an un-airconditioned office in downtown LA. Dree Hemingway, Mariel's daughter, signs on for a lead role.
HOLLYWOOD, CA: Shooting begins.
SAN DIMAS, CA: Bill and Ted's hometown is the location for their last day of shooting, one week later.
SANTA MONICA, CA: They edit the pilot on Ben's mac.

LOS ANGELES, CA: Reveille Productions joins with the N to make "Gigantic" happen.
2009
LOS ANGELES, CA: Marti Noxon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer" "Mad Men") and Dawn Parouse ("Tru Calling") join the team as showrunners. Production is set to begin. The N orders 13 episodes.
